Privacy Policy
Last Updated: March 2026
Introduction
Technoland Computer Repair ("we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard information when you visit our website, use our services, or interact with us.
Information We Collect
We may collect the following types of information:
- Contact Information: Name, phone number, and email address when you submit a contact form, request an estimate, or drop off a device for repair.
- Device Information: Device type, brand, model, serial number, and descriptions of issues or symptoms provided during intake.
- Repair Records: Ticket numbers, repair status, diagnosis notes, parts used, and service history.
- Communication Preferences: Your opt-in status for transactional and marketing SMS messages.
- Website Usage: Basic analytics data such as pages visited and referral source (we use minimal, privacy-respecting analytics).
How We Use Your Information
- To provide repair services and communicate about your repair status.
- To send transactional SMS messages about your repair (e.g., "Your device is ready for pickup").
- To send marketing SMS messages if you have opted in (e.g., promotions, seasonal offers).
- To respond to your inquiries and provide customer support.
- To improve our website and services.
- To comply with legal obligations.
We Do Not Sell or Share Your Data
We do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise share your personal information with third parties for their marketing purposes. Your data is used solely for providing our repair services and communicating with you as described in this policy.
Text Message (SMS) Communications
Text messages are sent personally by the shop owner from the shop's own phone. We do not use an automated texting platform, and your phone number is never uploaded to a third-party SMS service. Messages fall into two categories:
- Transactional Messages: Repair status updates, pickup notifications, and appointment reminders. These are sent when you submit a device for repair and consent to receiving updates. You may opt out at any time by replying STOP or telling us in person or by phone.
- Marketing Messages: Promotional offers and seasonal discounts. These are only sent if you have explicitly opted in, and never more than once per week. You may opt out at any time by replying STOP or telling us in person or by phone. Message and data rates may apply.
We will never share your phone number or text opt-in information with third parties for their marketing purposes.
Contact Form Submissions & Spam Protection
When you submit our contact or quick-quote form, your name, phone number, and message are stored in our systems and emailed to the shop so we can respond. Our forms may be protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which analyzes limited technical signals (such as your browser characteristics) solely to distinguish humans from bots; see Cloudflare's privacy policy for details.
Cookies
Our website uses minimal cookies necessary for basic functionality (e.g., session management for our admin dashboard). We do not use third-party advertising cookies or cross-site tracking cookies.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use our site. Google Analytics collects anonymous information like your approximate location, device type, and which pages you visit. We do not collect personally identifiable information through analytics, and IP addresses are anonymized before being recorded. You can opt out by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
California Privacy Rights (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, you have the following rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):
- Right to Know: You may request that we disclose what personal information we have collected about you.
- Right to Delete: You may request that we delete your personal information, subject to certain exceptions.

Data Retention
We retain customer and repair records for as long as necessary to provide our services and comply with legal obligations. Contact information is retained for communication purposes until you request deletion. Repair records may be retained for warranty and legal purposes. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.
Data destruction on device disposal: When devices are deemed abandoned per our service terms, any data on the device is destroyed by secure wipe or physical destruction before disposal. We do not access, view, copy, or sell data from abandoned devices.
Your Device Data
- We do not access personal files, photos, or documents during repair unless the repair specifically requires it (e.g., data recovery you requested).
- We do not copy, store, or transmit your personal data from your device.
- If your repair requires accessing your login credentials, we recommend changing your password after pickup.
- All devices are stored in our secure, locked facility during repair.
